Past President Jim McLaren named Richard Jacobs and Tom Ries Fellows of the Year at the Annual Meeting in Chicago last November.  This is the highest recognition of achievement a President can bestow upon a Fellow, and in this case, it was richly deserved.

What interesting is going on in your life right now?
Well, ah we’ve got a 2 ½ year old and a 9-month-old. They create something new everyday. My daughter is a spitfire and my son is super sweet. They’re both wonderful in their own way. The daily grind of parenting is pretty much what’s going on.

It is with great sadness that we have to inform our members of the passing of one of our own, Herbert A. Glieberman, one of the founding members of AAML.

Besides his beloved wife Evelyn (who passed away last year in March) Herb's second love and what he was most passionate about was being a trial lawyer. He loved practicing law, trying to help his client's to solve their problems and weather the storm they found themselves in, and coming out whole and renewed on the other side.

Lawyers and technology have been caught in a battle since the advent of the typewriter.  The latest trend is the smartwatch.  Will this device justify the investment?

For those of you who know me, and especially those who are Facebook friends, you know I love to eat and eat well (and I love posting photos of my eating adventures on Facebook).  I regularly get emails from friends asking for tips on restaurants in various cities and countries.  How do I find these gastronomical gems?  The following are five tips to finding a good restaurant while traveling.
