A warm welcome from the South Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers

Our Chapter presently has 25 Fellows, with one current Fellow dating back to the establishment of the Academy in 1962. South Carolina does not have specialization for Family Court attorneys, so our Chapter serves as the ultimate recognition of the preeminent and most accomplished leaders in our area of the law. Whether providing expert testimony in pending legislation, being invited by the State Supreme Court to file an amicus brief, authoring books and articles or co-sponsoring and speaking at statewide seminars, our Fellows are proud to carry out the Academy’s mission “To encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the cause of matrimonial law, to the end that the welfare of the family and society be protected.”
