Drinks and Diversity

We will explore the appellate bench’s viewpoint on how diversity issues are received by them either through the records they review from the trial court, the brief’s they receive, or the oral arguments they hear. We will have a discourse on the ability of the courts given the limitations of appellate review to issue spot and if the spotted issues have any impact in the opinions written. We will further delve into what justices would like to see when diversity plays a role in a case from the record, briefs, or arguments.
