2022 Institute for Family Law Associates
June 23 - June 26
Train to become an AAML accredited Associate
Associate attorneys have a variety of professional responsibilities, including providing legal advice and counsel to clients during litigation. Representing clients in legal cases before a judge and jury. Researching all aspects of a case including previous pleadings and relevant state laws.
Making the right connections has proven to expand networking prospects and referral bases for Associates, and many of these relationships last for years afterward.
The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) offers a comprehensive and highly acclaimed program that is specifically designed and targeted for Associates who have been practicing family law for 3 to 5 years in the office of an AAML Fellow.
Representative topics taught at the Institute are client and file management; understanding and analyzing tax returns and financial statements and information; tax issues related to divorce; how to be the associate on a family law case; evidentiary issues; the basics of business valuation and business valuation terminology; child custody cases; how to become a rainmaker; and many other nuggets of other highly valued practice guidance.
The Institute for Family Law Associates program is taught by a nationally renowned faculty of Fellows who have decades of experience in mentorship and helping Associates successfully achieve higher levels of excellence in their careers. The hallmark of the program is the valuable mentoring that occurs in small groups of associates assigned to a particular Fellow, who guides the group throughout the program, answering questions and sharing valuable legal experience.
This annual program consistently sells out every year.
