THE INSTITUTE SOLD OUT IN 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019
REGISTER NOW BEFORE THIS YEAR’S PROGRAM IS SOLD OUT!

A smart investment with impressive results.

Lauded as the "one of the best things that the AAML does for its Fellows," and "widely believed to be the premier program that the AAML produces," the Institute is currently accepting registrations for its 2020 Introductory Program, scheduled to take place at the Loew’s Hotel in Chicago from Thursday, June 25 through Saturday, June 28, 2020. The registration fee is $1,995.

For 2020, a comprehensive Introductory training program has been specially developed for associates with approximately 1 - 3 years of experience.  Space is limited to the first 40 registrants in order to maintain a small and intimate class size with the Institute's faculty members and experts.  There will also be an Advanced program, designed for associates with 3 or more years of experience (in addition to Introductory Program graduates), focusing on Business Valuation issues.  Here, students will be able to spend at least one full day working with Jay Fishman and Stacy Preston Collins of Financial Research Associates, in addition to other advanced topics.

Each associate from an AAML Fellow's law firm attending the Introductory Program will learn:

How to analyze 1040s, 1120s, and corporate financial statements
•         Divorce Tax issues
•         Basics of business valuation and retirement assets in divorce
•         Trial preparation: use of experts and handling issues arising from social media
•         Tips on being the most effective 2nd chair at a trial
•         Meeting with clients and key tools to market the law firm

The Institute programs are taught by a nationally renowned faculty of Fellows who have decades of experience in helping associate lawyers successfully achieve higher levels of excellence. Among the many positive reviews from attendees of prior programs, include: “a great program that will help me grow,” “provided tips that I am hoping to implement,” “trial preparation was extremely informative,”the divorce tax issues program was exactly what I was hoping it would be” and “I have no doubt that I am a better attorney as a result of participating in this program.”

Each associate is assigned an individual Fellow faculty member who serves as a mentor and personally guides the attendee through all aspects of the program - answering questions, providing encouragement, and sharing valuable legal experience. In addition to mastering and sharpening necessary skills, the associate will have a unique opportunity to meet peers and Fellows from diverse regions throughout the country. Making these connections has proven to expand networking prospects and referral bases, and many of these relationships last for years afterward.
