Chapter: Nevada

The Nevada Chapter of the AAML welcomes you!

Welcome to the Silver State.

Away from the casinos, Nevada is a destination for hikers, climbers, skiers in the winter and off road bikers on ski trails in the summer. Bring your rod and reel for Lake Mead and Lake Tahoe, golf clubs for some of the finest courses, and for the “burners on the playa” Burning Man awaits you.

Also diverse are the Family Law cases handled here, from small estates to complex litigation involving business entities, land deals and extraordinary wealth. With Las Vegas and Reno being “destination cities,” we also see many international family relationships requiring attention in our courts.

Our 20 member Chapter handles the full range of matters. Active since the 1980s, our dedicated Fellows are among the finest litigators in the state and many with national recognitions. We all share an interest in the betterment of the law, developing and teaching continuing legal education courses, publishing articles, and do our best to bring civility to an often unwieldy set of issues and relationships.

We embrace and live the Academy’s mission: To encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the cause of matrimonial law, to the end that the welfare of the family and society be protected.
